Reading Log: The next reading log is due on Friday, May 31st. The students should be reading 10-15 minutes each week night, taking weekends off. In order to receive full credit for a reading log, a student must have a minimum of 15 entries in on month. Parents must initial or sign the reading log. Less than 15 entries on a reading log will result in loss of points.
Writing and Editing Tests: The students will be tested every other week on writing, typically on Fridays. We go over paragraph editing every day in class. Fridays they will be tested on the skills learned throughout that week (such as end marks, capitals, underlining, quotes, etc...). They will also be tested on writing a short paragraph on an assigned topic using those same skills.
